Fresh Local, Farm-to-Table Food Has Become the Hallmark for Rosemont Bed & BreakfastFresh, local food is abundant in Little Rock and in the small towns that surround our city. So, going back to Rosemont's farmhouse roots, and the roots of my family, seems a natural thing to do. Terry Miller, my friend and a former innkeeper, just dropped off 12 dozen eggs from her own chickens and my sister and I recently returned from a "buying trip" to Atkins, St. Vincent, and Pottsville ... all small, rural towns where we have family with family farms. It was fun and incredibly rewarding. My trips to Sam's are now few and far between but it seems like almost daily I'm in one of the neighborhood shops or bakeries ... or, in my own kitchen working from scratch again! I love that every place I go they know me and what I am determined to do. My new mantra ... Buy Fresh, Buy Local. Then, we serve it as beautifully as possible daily in Rosemont's dining room.
